In late 2004 after studying for our degrees we decided to pool our savings and borrow some money from friends and family to create a business whose central role was to provide books at competitive prices.
After realising the amount of book sellers in the UK, we decided the best way to compete in such a vibrant market was to specialise in new University textbooks. During a brainstorming session we came up with the idea that to compete we needed to reduce our overheads to a strict minimum. This meant cutting down on things like staff, premises, shops and outlets and the middlemen. This we have done by making our business "internet only" very similar to other successful internet-based companies.
Currently we retail on Amazon.co.uk and benefit from the large clientele that has already been established. All of our books appear in Amazon's marketplace and can be accessed through our zShop.
